Sao Pedro Church, Ribeira Grande, north coast of Sao Miguel, Azores This is a sixteenth century church, just off the tree filled square. The photo shows how the area is quite shabby and scruffy, which was unusual for Sao Miguel. Everywhere else was spotless in comparison. This was certainly the least attractive of all the places we visited on our stay here. Sorry.
