Hmmm, as you can see, this is an idyllic little swimming spot on the north coast of Sao Miguel, close to Ribeira Grande and the neighbouring village of Ribeirinha. However, what you can't see is the access road, which is definitely interesting. Completely unmade and with numerous holes which threaten to take the undercarriage of your hire car clean away! Still, if that doesn't bother you too much, then it is just as picturesque as it looks. Oh yes - we also left a little of our car's clutch there, trying to climb back up the cliff. We can see now why all the locals braved the heat to walk there.
