| Caloura, south coast of Sao Miguel, Azores Azores Guide and Tour. Caloura, south coast of Sao Miguel, Azores From the south coastal road, at Agua de Pau, a sign indicates a beach at Caloura. This is nothing if not optimistic. What there is, is a delightful little bay, surrounded by steep cliffs, with a delightful, yet tiny man made pool, carved out of the rocks, where you could swim, if it were not all fenced off due to construction work (summer 2008). There is a small diving centre here and a little café, but otherwise the scenery was completely dominated by large cranes and a large amount of cement. Obviously, something is about to happen? I wonder what?
