How do you fancy a warm shower under a waterfall in a tropical glen, where geothermically heated water tumbles down onto you, staining the rocks (and you, if you rub up against them!) an orangey red from the iron content? It was quite busy when we were there, on a weekday in August, but I bet it would be wonderfully quiet out of season.


A little scenic idyll all to yourself - lovely. Again, no expensive car parks, no souvenir shops, no entrance fees. Just park your car on the road and walk in. You can buy an icecream from the van if you are desperate to part with some Euros.
