View down to lighthouse at Ponto do Arnela, Nordeste, Sao Miguel, Azores. Fantastic view isn't it? See that little road down to the light house? Take a tip from me and don't drive down it. I walked it and it was the steepest man-made road I have EVER walked on. Yes, some local fishermen do drive down, as does the light house keeper, but goodness knows what they do if another vehicle is coming back up the same way. There are NO places to pass and the road is full of hairpin bends over vertical cliffs. If you didn't have vertigo before, you soon would. You can't see the waterfall cascading over the top of the cliff and thundering down to the beach below. It took ten to fifteen minutes of knee-trembling muscle fatigue to get down it. Don't ask how long it took to walk back up. Pretty though.
