 Miradour on Northern coast, just east of Ponto do Arnela, Nordeste, Sao Miguel, Azores This view point and picnic spot had fabulous gardens. My landlord explained to me that quite often he and his wife would come out here in the evening to watch the birds roost in the steep cliffs as the sunset dipped below the mountains behind. He also said that many Azoreans liked to come here at dawn to catch the sun rising over the sea as it is one of the most easterly parts of the island.
